We have an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Healthcare Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, a female prison based in South Gloucestershire.


This is a brand new, rare opportunity to join the team, delivering a comprehensive speech and language therapy service to your own caseload within the prison.

This role offers flexibility regarding days worked, and you will deliver 4 clinic sessions per week.


Hours
This is a part time role, working 18.75 hours per week over 2 days. Days and shifts will be discussed at interview.


Salary


For this part time role, you'll receive an annual salary up to £49,770
_ _per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing:

As our new Speech and Language Therapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Deliver a comprehensive speech and language therapy service within the prison
  • Deliver comprehensive, specialist assessments to patients, with diagnosis in all aspects of communication language, speech, voice, fluency, eating and drinking
  • Ensure that care is personalised to each patient in your caseload
  • Provide clinical leadership for the Speech and Language pathway within the prison

As our new Speech and Language Therapist, you will have:

  • A recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of working as a Speech and Language therapist in a large, multidisciplinary team
