We are looking for an individual who will share our values and vision to combine compassion, empathy, and expertise to empower our patients to work towards their employment goals.


This is a part time position available (30 hours over 4 days a week) for an Employment Advisor who will work alongside the service providing dedicated employment support for people looking to return to work or to retain their current employment.


This is a cutting-edge opportunity to create a culture of prevention and early intervention, to make sure that people get timely access to mental health support as well as suitable employment advice so that they are supported to avoid long-term unemployment.

The post holder will be working towards supporting those with mental health problems helping them to remain in, return to and gain employment.


Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

The role will involve working with a caseload of patients. Assessing their employment needs and goals. Working alongside our clinical colleagues to provide tailored, individual employment advice.

The post holders will support service users with common mental health problems to gain, return to or retain employment.

The role will involve working with Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions, third sector organisations and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities.


If you are successful you will be working with an a established team who have a diverse background including; nursing, human resources, teaching, management, careers advice, self-employment, administration and payroll.


The training and service experience available will equip the post holder with the necessary knowledge, attitude, and capabilities to operate effectively in an inclusive, value driven service.

The post holder will also be required to complete a Skills For Justice Level 4 Employment Advisor qualification.


As many of our clients are in work the post holder will be required to work one evening per week 12pm to 8pm.
