We're presently on the search for an accomplished Accounts Senior on behalf of our esteemed client, a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Derby.

As an Accounts Senior, you will have an indispensable role in continuing this tradition of excellence, managing and guiding more junior staff, and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients.


We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, confidently handling a multitude of tasks with finesse and precision.

Whether you're liaising with clients, managing a team, or working through complex accounts, this role offers variety, challenge and the chance to take your accounting career to new heights.


Responsibilities:


  • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
  • Overseeing bookkeeping and payroll functions for clients
  • Training, mentoring, and supervising junior members of the team
  • Actively contributing to the firm's business development and networking activities
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Providing a high standard of service to clients, answering queries and providing advice

Requirements:


  • ACA/ACCA fully qualified or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within a public accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
£30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
