Working Hours:
Wednesdays 6:30-9:30pm, term time only.

You may also be required to occasionally provide Team Leader support holiday/sickness cover on other nights of the week, and attend staff team meetings that run approximately every six weeks.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Youth Worker to support the running of a traditional drop-in Youth Club for 11-18 year olds.

Key Responsibilities:

Open up the building and set up the youth club, plus pack away and closing at the end of the evening.

Welcome the young people to each session, keeping accurate records of attendance.
Supporting the Volunteer Youth Workers each week, ensuring that they are assisting with the youth club effectively.
Undertaking administrative tasks, writing reports, verifying information and responding to queries. Being mindful of and potentially raising any safeguarding concerns when speaking with young people.

Meeting, liaising and networking with police, educational establishments, social services, Youth Offending Teams and signposting agencies to address issues and promote opportunities for young people.

Mentoring and supporting individuals to encourage social inclusion. Providing advice and guidance around healthy living and healthy lifestyles.
Full training will be given as well as ongoing training when required. A good understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion as well as health and safety.

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Salary:
£12.00 per hour
