WHAT TO EXPECT
Reporting to the Global Commodity Lead this is an exciting opportunity to part of the creation and implementation of the long-term strategy for a critical commodity to Jaguar Land Rover.
EV Charging is an increasingly important technology that is forecast grow in value across our vehicles as we move to connected, electrified and autonomous vehicles.
The strategy will need to be aligned with other commodities and the wider Tata Group to understand cross company alignment opportunities.
Objectives will be related to sourcing on time to support future vehicles, ensuring continuity of supply throughout the prebuild stages up to Job 1, ensuring that Jaguar Land Rover is accessing best-in-class technology, ongoing cost management, change management and maintaining the most effective relationship with the suppliers under their responsibility.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Deliver successful sourcing activities
- Manage EV Charging supplier relationships to deliver best in class Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Sustainability
- Be responsible for clear and consistent reporting to senior leaders in Jaguar Land Rover on progress.
- Work cross functionally to establish strategy for new technologies on the commodity and integration opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance to existing policies and processes and proactively identifying and participating in opportunities to improve these
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential:
- Experience working in the automotive or electronic industry
- Sourcing background of complex systems
- Ideally experience in contract negotiation, price negotiation and supplier relationship management with the ability to engage with and manage key stakeholders to influence cross functional engagement.
- An ability to challenge existing processes and spot opportunities for improvement.
- Comfortable working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- An understanding of Test-Driven Development
- An aptitude for problem solving and an openness to learning new skills and technologies.
- Experience of working in a global, multicultural environment, sourcing complex parts for a major vehicle programme / platform
