*Mostly WFH*Contact:Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Hertfordshire for two Financial Accountants to join their Controls and Systems team. There is a requirement for one Systems Financial Accountant and one Controls Financial Accountant.


The Systems Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing a team providing all transactional services, reconciliations and debt monitoring and will be responsible for the management, maintenance, development and improvement of the Financial Systemsin the Local Authority.

The Controls Financial Accountant will manage a team responsible for financial accounting, treasury management and bank reconciliations.

They will be the lead officer for closing the accounts, VAT and production of the collection fund whilst managing thee-payments and cash management systems.

Full job specifications available

  • CCAB Qualified Accountant or Part-Qualified working towards full qualification
  • Experience within a Local Government/Local Authority Finance environment
  • Experienced in either Systems or Controls Finance treasury/bank reconciliations or systems management within a transactional service
  • Great communication skills with experience of managing a small team to run an effective service
