Duration:
Two years (fixed-term contract)


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and coordinate the safe movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and construction equipment within the site premises.
  • Implement traffic management plans and follow relevant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Direct and guide drivers, ensuring they adhere to designated routes, speed limits, and parking areas.
  • Monitor site entrances and exits, preventing unauthorised access and maintaining site security.
  • Communicate effectively with site personnel, providing clear instructions and guidance regarding traffic movements.
  • Assist in maintaining records and documentation related to traffic management.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and project managers to address any trafficrelated issues or concerns.
  • Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents on site, implementing appropriate traffic control measures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of traffic management systems and equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) or NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) qualification for Traffic Marshall.
  • Proven experience as a Traffic Marshall or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, including traffic management protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate traffic movements and interact with site personnel.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in highpressure situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and demands.
