Fusion Recruitment are currently working with one of our hotel partners in Kerry to recruit a Head Chef

  • Responsible for the running of the kitchen
  • Maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that the highest quality food is produced for the customers and that it is presented with flair and passion
  • Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen is in line with Food Hygiene Regulations and all Health and
  • Generate ideas in the kitchen, update menus regularly and produce a consistently good product
  • Assist the head chef in training and developing the kitchen team
  • Cooking and preparing highquality dishes
  • Supervising all kitchen stations
  • Directing the food preparation process, delegating tasks, and ensuring a smooth service in the banqueting kitchens
  • Supervising, motivating, and working closely with other chefs of all levels
  • Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
  • Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary, and in perfect operating order
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5star hotel
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles
  • The ability to produce a high standard and high quality food
  • Hardworking, trustworthy with a positive attitude
  • Experience in Conference & Banqueting is essential
  • Excellent People management and leadership skills
  • Fluent English is essential
