An exciting opportunity has arisen within our growing UK Finance team, for a Senior Bank Reconcilliation Executive to join us


Job Purpose

  • Oversee the effective operation of the core Bank Reconciliation process.
  • Root cause investigation and resolution of unreconciled items.
  • Proactively resolve problems and queries.
  • Provide a high standard of internal and external customer service.
  • Deputise in the managers absence.
  • Ensure cover and training is in place to effectively complete all tasks within given SLA
  • Lead by example.

Main Duties

  • Complete or oversee the reconciliation of the bank account(s) daily, ensuring accurate records are kept and updated.
  • Balance cashbook, general ledger, and bank statements daily.
  • Focus on root cause investigation and resolution of unreconciled entries.
  • Monitor discrepancies and coordinate with wider business on their resolution.
  • Liaise with the Financial Accounts team to support the month end accounting process.
  • Assist with implementing improvements and identified problem areas.
  • Provide high standards of external customer service by responding quickly to correspondence and requests.
  • Build effective relationships both internally within EUI Finance and externally to our wider stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support with the development of other team members.
  • Monitor and report on KRI (Key Risk Indicators) to management group.
  • Personally meet individual and Department targets and objectives.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers with the improvement of financial control processes.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous Bank Reconciliation experience is essential.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Excel.

  • Ability to process high work volumes and maintain high accuracy is essential.
