Senior Care Assistant

We currently have a senior positions available

You will be working at our friendly residential care home in Dudley.

The Role of a Senior care assistant will include delivering the highest quality of personalised care to our residents in line with their individual care plans, administering medication, running of the shift, supporting a team of carers, helping with all aspects of day to day life.

Ensuring the overall happiness and well being of our residents by getting to know them and their families, providing them with emotional support and company.

NVQ 3 or working towards it will is required.


Duties include, serving meals and drinks, assisting residents with personal care, checks, answering nurse calls, assisting residents with personal care, writing daily reports.


Work Location:
In person

Duties:

  • Provide personal care and support to adults with Learning disabilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed

Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Compassionate and patient
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Dudley: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)

- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
