Due to continued business growth, we are recruiting permanent weekend Automation Operatives. This position is on a rotating 2 shift basis as follows. Applicants must be able to work both shifts.

Week - Saturday and Sunday 7am to 7pm - with a 45-minute paid lunch break

What does the role involve?

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have a good understanding of English - both spoken and reading.

Duties will include:

• Working within the factory automation, ensuring maximum efficiency of the automation in order to achieve the production schedule requirements.
• To become competent on the 110mm and Push fit assembly equipment.
• Meet the expected output targets for each of the machines.
• Train new or existing members of staff on the automation equipment.
• Identify faulty/defective products and inform the Leading Hand/Supervisor immediately to allow for corrective actions to be taken to resolve the problem.
• Ensure that all packed product is assembled and labelled in accordance with the QC packing instructions. This includes adding your individual clock number to each product outer label.
• Understand work instructions and packing procedures to complete the schedule efficiently and correctly.
• Ensure that the level of housekeeping in the department is maintained at a high standard at all times (machines and entire floor area).
• Be flexible in terms of moving from one task to another in the automation department, during the course of the shift.

About You... (What are we looking for?)

We appreciate that a Factory setting is not for everyone - so ideally you will have previous experience of working in a production environment.

Please be aware that some heavy lifting will be involved.

• Hourly rate of £13.57 increasing to £13.88 after successful completion of a six month probationary period
