SEO & Content Specialist

This is a hybrid role with 3 days working at our Leicester city centre offices
Are you a Search Engine Optimisation specialist experienced in all forms of white hat SEO and understand what makes giants like Google tick? Do you have what it takes to expertly deliver ROI-focused SEO and Content campaigns that fly? Can you produce content that excites customers, engages audiences and gets people to pick up the phone?


We're looking for a strong personality who can engage a client portfolio to buy into your strategy, lead leaders and consistently report successes, KPIs and opportunities to clients.


In a nutshell, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and communication of powerful search and content strategies that drive awareness, traffic and sales via our bespoke websites.

With this growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an SEO & Content Specialist to join our team in Leicester City Centre.


This is not a fully remote role, you will need to be able to commute to our Leicester city centre office 3 days per week

As an SEO & Content Specialist at Unity, you will:

  • Understand the importance of client buy-in, implementing reporting touchpoints and proactively engaging clients with their strategy, ensuring continued successes of KPIs by effectively managing client accounts
  • Be a confident communicator, with the ability to hold professional exchanges at all levels of business to ensure continued engagement and retention, and takes ownership of clients and their multichannel digital marketing strategies
  • Be a strategic thinker who can uncover client opportunities and put plans and strategies in place to support clients in growing their business online, seeing them through to the end and delivering high levels of search visibility as part of a joinedup strategy across multiple channels including paid and organic search and social media
  • Be a selfstarter who works well under pressure, is organised and is able to manage multiple tasks and your own time effectively to meet tight deadlines with impeccable attention to detail, high standards and taking pride in your work
  • Be confident with tools such as WordPress, Keyword research tools, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Google Merchant Centre, Google My Business, Search Console, Semrush and Canva, using reporting tools to analyse all activity
  • Stay at the forefront of developments within the industry to identify new opportunities for our clients
  • Be able to produce engaging and high quality content in various mediums (images, written, animated, video, audio) for websites, blog posts, social media and landing pages that rank and convert and conform to best practices
  • Understand the client's customers and adopt a suitable tone of voice as well as produce content strategies and develop strong briefs for the wider content team
  • Develop and undertake onsite, offsite and technical SEO strategies from start to finish, as well as perform full SEO audits including keyword, competitor and opportunity research. Finds legitimate digital PR and link building opportunities and engaging gatekeepers on behalf of clients
  • Use data to assess campaign performance and continually improve the effectiveness of your work and be confident in suggesting and making amendments to the client and the team across multiple channels
  • Identify and make full use of available opportunities across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google My Business including optimising for maximum visibility
  • Be proactive in growing website authority, link acquisition, guest blogging and citation building, digital PR, technical SEO and content


You will work closely with strategic leaders within the business as well as content and marketing executives to ensure alignment in messaging between channels and mediums.
