Torbay Hospital are recruiting a full time permanent Associate Director of Patient Safety, Quality and Experience who will provide strategic direction and oversee the operational delivery of all patient safety, quality, experience and clinical risk activities within the portfolio across Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Associate Director of Patient Safety, Quality and Experience you will report directly to the Deputy Chief Nurse and lead the Trust's Quality, Patient Experience and Patient Safety Programs and ensure these are aligned with the overall Corporate Strategy and reflect the requirements of the National Patient Safety Strategy (PSIRF).
- Lead on all aspects of the programes including professional standards, governance and quality and work in collaboration with the Care Groups.
- Provide expert advice to all grades of staff supporting and advising the Trust in all aspects of patient safety, quality, experience and clinical risk, strategy, policies and programes of work.
- To lead and take full accountability for the development, implementation and monitoring of the national Patient Safety Strategy as well as Trust policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient incident investigation.
- Lead the strategic and operational management of patient safety, quality, experience and clinical risk management agenda/programme of work developing appropriate strategies and compiling a portfolio of business plans, ensuring implementation and compliance with key deliverables, performance targets and strategic objectives.
- To lead the promotion and delivery of patient safety, quality, experience and clinical risk management activity across the Trust and in collaboration with other organisations as part of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) system working.
- Oversee the development and management of patient safety, quality, experience and clinical risk management programmes, ensuring activities are delivered within corporate and quality governance frameworks and are planned, monitored and evaluated appropriately to ensure outcomes are achieved to meet statutory and regulatory requirement.
