Brief Job Description -


To be responsible for the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive maintenance works across a large portfolio of lettings in the Lancashire.


Working alongside and reporting to our Maintenance & Project co-ordinator, the Operative will be carrying out works in residential properties.

Predominately tenanted but sometimes in vacant properties.

The role is a full time, permanent employment, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Out of hours call outs will be required.


Key Responsibilities -
Carrying out general maintenance works in residential properties such as;

  • Diagnosing and repairing issues reported by tenants
  • Basic plumbing (e.g. repairing / replacing taps, investigating and repairing leaks on DWS & waste services)
  • Basic electrical works (e.g. replacing light fittings)
  • Basic carpentry works (e.g. boarding windows, replacing skirting boards, replacing latches & handles, easing of doors and replacing loose floor boards)
  • Basic plaster patching in works
  • Basic tiling works (e.g. refixing loose tiles & regrouting and removing failed silicone and resealing sanitary wear)
  • Painting & Decorating
  • General building works (e.g. rebedding loose flags / stones
  • External works (e.g. repairing / replacing fencing
  • Reporting back to the Maintenance & Project Coordinator with recommended remedial fixes and recorded works completed
  • Carry out own admin work, such as recording costs & time spent on jobs

Note:
Not all of the above are a necessary requirement


Essential Criteria -
Experience in plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling, building & external works.

A "Can do attitude" and the ability to "Turn your hand to anything"

Good communication skills

Take pride in your own work

Be punctual and reliable

Able to work individually using own initiative and work with other contractors and colleagues

Full UK driving Licence

£18.00 per hour
