Type: 12 Month Contract

A FTSE 100 Insurance Company with an office based in Telford is recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their Financial Reporting team on a 12-month Contract basis.

The focus of the role is to provide financial and regulatory reporting supportto the wider business ensure the organisation meets its regulatory, reputational and commercial requirements.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical accounting and regulatory reporting support across the finance department
Dealing with Solvency II reporting for the group
Responsible for preparing statutory accounts
Working as a key contact point for external auditors
Assisting in the transition from IFRS 4 to IFRS 1
Monitor the technical accounting and regulatory reporting environment for impacts on the businesses financial reporting
Manage technical issues across the department, liaising with key stakeholders such as Group Finance, Finance Technical Committee and External Auditors
Produce quality departmental updates to Board
Coordinate KPI, KRI, risk and control reporting across the Financial Reporting team

Experience and attributes required:

Experience of financial reporting or have a background in accountancy
