The Role:
We are searching for those who are passionate about providing an unforgettable summer experience for children and teenagers.

Strong leadership skills a positive attitude and a commitment towards supporting and empowering Junior learners are essential characteristics in providing a high quality and fun camp environment.

As a Residential Sports activity Leader, you will be pivotal in fostering the growth of international students. Your responsibilities will include adeptly planning and leading a series of sports sessions.

Planning, leading and running our evening activities programme, with a variety of fun and engaging activities, overseeing students during excursions, and taking on pastoral care duties.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to cultivate practical leadership and teaching skills while engaging with international children and teenagers


General Duties

  • Attend daily meetings. If required carry out airport duty, assist with the arrival and departure process for students on arrival and departure days.
  • Help with set up and pack up of the course centre.
  • Contribute feedback to your line managers.
  • Reside in a room near to students and do wakeup/bedtime/mealtime duty as required.
  • Adhere to duties rota regarding the supervision of students at designated times.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties.

Safeguarding and Pastoral Care Duties

  • Oversee and supervise students as instructed, being mindful of their safety and wellbeing.
  • Address any pastoral care issues with sensitivity.
  • If needed accompany students to doctors or hospitals as instructed by management and welfare staff.
  • Read and adhere to risk assessments for all activities and excursions, ensuring that all efforts are made to minimise the risk of illness or injury to students during these times.
  • Be familiar with the fire safety, and other emergency protocols as indicated during induction and be ready and willing to take the lead in an emergency.
  • Complete any safety checks of designated areas in accordance with Risk assessments.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead promptly

Administrative Duties

  • Keep accurate records and registers of activities.
  • Prepare structured daily plans for activities.
  • Buy any materials for Activities programme.
  • Maintain and appropriately label and record resources.
  • Follow Rotas communicated by management.
  • Assist with photocopying, filing and any other reasonable administrative duties as instructed.

Excursion Duties

  • Assist with the smooth running of Offsite Excursions
  • Take responsibility for a small group of students offsite.
  • Ensure students on Excursions are encouraged to actively engage with the opportunities presented to them.
  • Familiarise self with all Excursion specific risk assessments and emergency protocols.

Sports Duties

  • Run/Assist with the Sport activities made available to student.
  • Adhere to the rota provided for Sports supervision and coaching.

Activities Duties

  • Plan relevant activities for students on the course
  • Ensure all relevant materials are sourced for the running of the activities programme.
  • Run the activities programme according to course structure and requirements, ensuring activities are fun, interesting, challenging yet safe and suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.

Job Types:
Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Freelance

Contract length: 2-4 weeks


Pay:
£450.00-£575.00 per week
