Welder Fabricator/Sheet Metal Work

Newbury, Berkshire
**£27K - £38K per annum

Permanent Role**As a welder fabricator/sheet metal worker you will be required to weld a range of components using a variety of welding techniques including T.I.G, M.I.G and spot welding to specified drawings. Material sizes and thicknesses will vary and will include stainless steel sheet metal from 0.5mm to 3mm thickness. In addition, there is a requirement for forming and rolling material.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Using a variety of welding techniques, produce components that comply with engineering drawings and other supporting documents.
TIG welding 0.53mm sheet metal.
Rolling, forming and spot welding 0.53mm sheet metal.
Be responsible for the quality of own work, including the visual inspection of welds and recording heat numbers of both components & consumables.
Follow all health, safety & environmental policy & procedures to ensure the company upholds and exceeds its legal responsibilities.
Maintain a clean working area adhering to all housekeeping requirements as specified by your line manager.
Assist with the training of other employees, including apprentices.
Use initiative and propose ideas to improve quality, productivity, and cost performance.
Other reasonable tasks as requested.
