Our client, a leading Investment Management Firm, is looking someone to join their First Line of Defence Operational Risk on a 12-month fixed-term contract, partnering with the Front Office to embed the Risk Management Framework into the business.


Responsibilities in this role:

  • Supporting the clientfacing teams with identifying and reporting operating events, and promoting the embedding of the Operational Risk Framework and a riskaware culture
  • Ensuring procedures documents and key controls are reviewed and uptodate and work with other teas to ensure that CASS Operational Risk Framework reflects current controls
  • Improving operational efficiency and mitigating risk within the business through analysing operational risk themes and performing thematic risk reviews
  • Supporting consistent risk reporting to management within the deadlines and to a high standard, working in partnership with the Governance Oversight Team
  • Maintaining awareness of the firm's Change and Transformation agenda, to understand and anticipate the implications of it on operational risk management for front office

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Able to demonstrate practical experience in operating internal controls alongside the management of Operational Risk
  • Experience within a Financial Services environment
  • A good level of technical understanding of relevant regulations, business processes and procedures for a Front Office role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation
  • Capable of working under pressure, managing multiple responsibilities and meeting tight deadlines
