As a School Administrator, your duties may include:

  • Responsibility for the daily running of the school office
  • ensuring systems and equipment support the efficiency of the school
  • photocopiers, filing systems etc
  • Communicating and liaising clearly and efficiently with the Head Teacher, Governors, parents, staff, children, and visitors to school, which include outside agencies
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining communication areas of the School

  • Communicating with parents, staff and governors including management of Parents' Evening bookings
  • Responsible for updating School Literature, i.e. Prospectus, Staff Handbook, EYFS
  • Induction Pack
  • Liaising with the local Council in order to administrate all school admissions and leavers
  • Update the published admissions policy
  • To publicise and promote open days for prospective parents
  • To liaise with parents to arrange school tours
  • To support parents through the secondary schools admissions process

The requirements for this role are:

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English to grade C or above, or NVQ 2 in relevant area (e.g. business administration), or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in an office environment, or general clerical, financial or administrative experience
  • Good understanding of child protection, safeguarding and bullying issues and able to demonstrate understanding of own accountabilities
  • Understanding of need for confidentiality
  • School software packages such as: SIMS (School Information Management System) etc.
  • Ability to use Outlook, and a web browser to access information
  • Good ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to relate well to children and to other adults
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Part-time hours: 20 per week

£11.41-£12.50 per hour
