Job Purpose To work as part of an integrated children's services team within a specified Hub model.

To co-ordinate the day-to-day activities within the Hub model, core service team for children and young people aged 0 19 and their families.

To line manage staff.

To support the Clinical Service Manager to deliver an integrated service offer for children and young people aged and their families.


To work collegiately with other Clinical Service Leads to ensure the delivery of high-quality childrens services throughout Nottingham City and across the 0 -19 age range.

To provide appropriate care to children, young people and their families in line with professional NMC registration.
Dimensions Oversight and co-ordination of the care delivered to children aged 0 19 within a specified Hub model. Planning and allocating work to team members in line with their skills, knowledge and expertise. Ensuring that team activities align with organisational objectives and contractual requirements.


Working under the direction of the Head of Clinical Service and Clinical Service Managers, working with fellow Clinical Service Leads, Service Development Leads and Clinical Educators to support service improvement.

Staff line management, including conducting annual performance reviews and tracking set objectives. Undertake clinical activities relevant to knowledge, skills and expertise as required to meet the needs of the service.

Responsible for signing off e-expenses, contributing to stock ordering and asset trackingKey ResponsibilitiesPeople To ensure that all members of the multi-disciplinary skill mix teamwork within all agreed standard operating procedures, organisational policies and procedures.

To allocate work to individual team members that is commensurate with their skills, knowledge, and expertise. Line management and supervision of direct reports including annual PRD. Monitor staff attendance at work including sickness and absence levels in line with local/organisational policy. To work alongside Clinical Service Managers when higher level actions are required.

To support colleagues to effectively line manage other members of a Hub based model skill mix team. To co-ordinate team working hours and annual leave to ensure adequate cover during core service hours. Monitor, authorise and record annual leave in line with organisational policy and procedure.

Contribute to the recruitment and retention of staff including staff induction programmes and mentorship Monitor and support staff performance by ensuring effective caseload management.

Overview of training compliance within the Hub model. To ensure that team members access appropriate mandatory and service-specific training in line with training compliance matrix.

To access regular safeguarding supervision and ensure that staff are effectively supported regarding safeguarding and that they access safeguarding supervision also.

Escalate concerns related to staff performance and contribute to the effective implementation of supportive action plans working closely with the Hub model Clinical Service Manager.

To have an overview of the support services available to all staff, including restorative supervision and occupational health.
Quality To comply with the NMC code of conduct including revalidation requirements (if NMC registrant). To identify and support others to recognise risk and report incidents in line with CityCare policies and procedures. To support revalidation process for registered staff members. To work within all agreed service specifications, standard operating procedures, organisational policies, and procedures.


To support the Clinical Service Manager to ensure that staff understand service objectives, performance targets, and their role in ensuring that targets are met.

To maintain confidentiality of information regarding staff and clients as appropriate. To ensure that record keeping by self and the team meets Nottingham CityCare and nationally set professional standards. To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate programmes of care appropriate to role and professional registration.


To use professional and clinical judgement to undertake detailed assessments of clients and their families and analyse complex family situations in order to develop appropriate clinical interventions.

To work in partnership with others to ensure that service users are referred/signposted to other services as necessary.

To lead, co-ordinate and monitor the delivery of a programme of work for a Hub based skill mix team as defined by the service specification under the guidance of the Clinical Service Manager.

To ensure that the team works closely with partner services and agencies in order to improve health outcomes for children, young people and their families.
