Description

The Hotels**Andrew Brownsword Hotels have created a collection of nine of the most iconic countryside properties, all in very special places across the South of England. Properties within the group all have individual personalities and are led by exceptional General Managers.

The Opportunity

This is a group head of operations role, overseeing all our countryside hotels (nine) and reports directly to the CEO.

We are embarking on a new lifestyle experiential brand and are looking for a Group Head of Operations to bring our new vision to life in each property through the Managers and teams.

A key part of this role will be mentoring and developing experienced General Managers across our world-renowned portfolio.

Location:

In this role you will work across our nine Brownsword properties, spending the majority of your working week in our hotels, so you can directly coach the General Managers and lead the businesses to success.

Your base would be discussed and agreed with you, dependant on where you live in the UK.

Hours:
Full-time. This is a demanding (and extremely rewarding) senior position
- we are a very supportive and flexible business, and it is open to you to manage your working time (but if you are looking for a simple Mon-Fr, 9-5 role, this may not be for you)

What core things you will be doing:

  • Be brilliant at leading a team of operators, translating the group vision and personality to life on the floor
  • Work closely with the CEO to implement strategic plans, capital investment and product development
  • Manage the delivery of all guest experiences and brand messaging through the GM's
  • Control all cost KPIs across all properties to agreed ROI
  • Lead the commitment to our people & development across all properties to ensure we always have the best family
  • Lead the culture of safety and compliance across all properties
  • Be organised and consistent with monthly reviews of performance across all properties
  • Coach and develop the GMs beyond what they believe they can achieve
  • Working closely with central team department heads to ensure the properties are supported and delivering core KPI's

What you'll need:

  • 2 years + of senior regional hospitality management experience or 1 year's operations director level experience
  • A drive to succeed, passion and tenacity
  • A personality that embraces change, and seeks continual improvement
  • To be a leader as well as a manager, focussing on the future and not just the day to day
  • To be a logical thinker, a problem solver, and an exceptional communicator
  • To be structured, organised and have exceptional attention to detail in a consistent manner
  • Advanced IT and admin skills, and can translate complex information so the audience can understand it fully
  • Good industry contacts and someone who is highly respected in the hospitality world
  • A driving licence and your own vehicle (of course we pay travel expenses)

To say thank you, we have many perks

  • Great salary and benefits
- we'll chat about these more during the recruitment process

  • Private Pension, Healthcare and Bonus Scheme
  • A great central team to become a key part of

About our family of hotels
Each of our hotels are unique, individual, and quirky in personality. Quality is fundamental to everything we do, and it is the simple things that matter. We believe everyone should feel included, special and welcome, and that applies to our team and our guests.
