HR Officer - Grantham


This brand, one of the largest and leading, award-winning property specialists in the UK, are recruiting an outstanding HR Officer to provide a high level of support to the multi-branded group.

Working 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday & 9.00am to 5.00pm Friday based in Grantham.


Reporting to the Head of HR, the key responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for providing first line of advice to managers and network heads across 7 brands covering 230 employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cases.
  • Work closely with and assist line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures in relation to employee cases.
  • Manage absences, performance, conduct, maternity & paternity matters.
  • Assist with the management of the employee benefits schemes.
  • Handle investigation, disciplinary and grievance meetings (attending zoom and in person when appropriate) ensuring a fair process is followed.
  • Minute taking in HR meeting when required.
  • Prepare reports for Head of department on all cases identifying risk level.
  • Assist with health and safety matters across the group.
  • Work with Head of department on OH cases, when required.
  • Attend zoom meeting and in person meetings, when required.
  • Manage the collating and reporting for the group P11d's.
  • Assist with any other HR project as directed by Head of department.
  • Provide cover for admin support (maintaining HR databases, leavers/ joiners, offer letters, contracts).
  • Right to work checks.
  • Assist department head with TUPE, acquisitions, restructures and redundancy when required.
  • Update contracts and handbooks to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with any other adhoc task

Requirements and Skills:


  • Must have experience of dealing with ER matters; pregnancy, sickness, absence, disciplinaries, grievances, dismissals.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to hit the ground running
  • Good knowledge of employment and health & safety law
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Strong Administrative/ HR background essential

Package:


  • Salary £28,000 to £30,000 per annum
