Head of Sustainability - UK Division - Maternity Cover

An interim Head of Sustainability is required to lead the Sustainability function in our UK division for a year providing maternity cover for the role.

The successful applicant will report to the Group Health, Safety, Sustainability and Quality Director and will also work within the Divisional Senior Management Team and closely with the Division's Chief Operating Officer.

The role will require both the delivery of audit and assurance services and the provision of thought leadership and direction, advice, and support to both work-winning and operational delivery teams.


The successful applicant will also:

  • Support the implementation and continuous development of the company Sustainability Management System.
  • Provide line management support and leadership to the existing team of Sustainability Managers.
  • Promote best practice within the company and our supply chain.
  • Interact with other functions including Health and Safety, Quality and Procurement, supporting common programmes of work and initiatives.
  • Support our work winning teams in the preparation of submissions.
  • Proactively represent the division in appropriate industry forums and working groups and with clients as and when required.
  • Interact and manage our relationship with the appropriate regulatory authorities.
The role will require travel throughout the UK and occasional travel to Ireland.

While based in one of our 3 UK offices in St Albans, Solihull or Warrington agile working patterns can be agreed.
