    Job Overview

    A Goods In/Goods Out Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods in a warehouse. They ensure all stock is correctly logged, stored safely, and ready for distribution.

    Duties

    • Receiving Goods - Unload deliveries safely from trucks or vans, check incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, verify delivery notes against purchase orders.
    • Stock Control & Storage - Label and store goods in designated areas, keep track of inventory and update stock records, ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO/LIFO methods).
    • Quality & Safety Compliance - Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies to the supplier, follow health and safety regulations when handling stock, operating forklifts, pallet trucks, or other machinery safely (if trained).
    • Record Keeping & Communication - Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to log stock movements, liaise with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams, assist with stock audits and inventory counts.
    • General Warehouse Duties - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, assist with packing, loading, and dispatching goods when required, follow company policies and procedures.
    • Manage correspondence and assist with email communications

    Qualifications

    • Previous warehouse experience is essential
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interaction within the team
    • Forklift Licence desirable

    Shift Pattern & Salary

    This role covers our afternoon shift which is 2pm - 12am Monday - Thursday.

    £13 per hour, increasing to £14 per hour following a successful 6 month probation period.

    You will receive an additional £3 per hour from 5pm - 12am

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Pay: From £13.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
