In-House Tax Manager

London, with hybrid/fully remote working arrangement

£70,000 + bonus & benefits

Responsibilities will include:
Tax and regulatory reporting

  • Assisting endtoend production of the interim/annual consolidated tax charge; management and review of the Group's consolidated quarterly tax charge.
  • Assisting with preparation of the quarterly tax charge and tax disclosures for Statutory Accounts.
  • Assist with the Group's regulatory, quarterly reporting.
  • Preparation and review of the Group consolidated tax charge for the annual plan and quarterly rolling forecasts.
Process/technological improvements

  • Proactively innovating and transforming C&R processes to drive new efficiencies
  • Assisting with the ongoing design, development, and testing of reports and other outputs specific to the consolidation system; ensuring automation between tax reporting and financial reporting systems.
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage technology across other reporting processes, such as forecasting, OECD Pillar 2, CountrybyCountry Reporting (CbCR), and data gathering.
  • Maintain and improve tax reporting documentation and process notes.
Tax Compliance

  • Assisting with tax compliance task and the calculation of the Group's quarterly payments on account.
  • Assisting with the review and maintenance of the group's tax payment position.
  • Support the broader Group Tax team with planning for future compliance obligations such as the OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project.
  • Follow the tax governance process that adheres to the agreed tax risk appetite.
  • Assisting with tax risk reporting and governance.
  • Analysing and using data to manage tax risks and provide insights and opportunities.
  • ACA/CTA qualification
  • Strong foundations in UK tax compliance and reporting (under IFRS, UK or US GAAPs)
  • Strong software skills (Excel, Alphatax, tax reporting software)
  • Experience with continually reviewing and improving processes
