Motor Vehicle Lecturer - full time - £20.31 an hour ( approx £150 a day) - Carlisle

We are looking for a
Lecturer for an FE College in Carlisle on a supply basis up until at least the end of the academic year.

This is full time to teach and demonstrate L1 ABC Motor Vehicle Studies L2 City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Studies.

The rate is
£20.31 to £ and the hours are 8.30am to 5pm

There is
also a role available training monthly cohorts to achieve their Class 4 & Class 7 MOT testing qualifications - this is also 5 days a week at the above rate and until the summer term.

Qualifications/Experience Required

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or hold previous experience of teaching Motor Vehicle studies
Have excellent classroom management skills
Be flexible, adaptable and willing to get "stuck in" and help where needed
Ability to set consistently high expectations for all students through class work, homework and enrichment
Commitment to enrichment and extracurricular provision, in the development of students

Duties/Expectations of a Supply Teacher

As a
supply teacheryou will be expected to
plan and teach well-structured lessonsof a high standard to the students you are assigned by following designated programmes of study.

By monitoring students in accordance with agreed departmental strategies you will impart your knowledge and develop students' understanding through effectiveuse of lesson time.

You will be
required to set homework where required.

You will be expected to contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum along with the other department staff.

You will
maintain disciplinein accordance with school policies and demonstrate good practice in the classes taught with regard to; attendance, appearance, uniform, punctuality, behaviour and homework.

You will also be expected to
set high expectationswhich inspire, motivate and challenge students.
