We are a busy, professional construction firm looking for a reliable Labourer/driver.


Responsibilities:


  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
  • Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery operations
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project
  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
  • Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
  • Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes.
  • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
  • Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.

Must have the following:


  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial driving role
  • Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including flatbed trucks and vans
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo

Salary:
£12.00-£15.00 per hour
