We are excited to offer this post to support both our patients and clinical teams by providing a Hospital at Night service.

The role will include duties as requested by a registered practitioner and the successful applicants will have the competencies to deliver the role

  • To respond to clinical tasks required to support patients at night
  • To promote and deliver patient centred care aligned with the Trust vision and Nursing and Midwifery strategy
  • To provide the highest standard of safe, effective and compassionate care through the effective use of evidence based practice
  • To support a continuously improving service, in line with the clinical governance framework, Trust objectives, and the NHS performance framework
  • The post holder will have the appropriate level of skill, knowledge and competence to meet the requirements of this role
  • Operate within own competency level
  • Respond to any area where support is required
  • To provide support to the multi professional team

  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with individuals, the wider nursing team, and other health professional regarding patient's conditions, care planning and treatments
  • Be competent in cannulation, phlebotomy and catheterisation skills
  • Work within boundaries of competencies
  • Escalate any concerns where attainment of the required intervention is beyond competency level
