Role Specifications:
- To work within the philosophies of FalCare demonstrating an understanding and commitment to the rights of people with learning disabilities and people requiring care at home.
- Facilitate and support clients in decision making, promoting choice and involvement.
- Encourage client empowerment in line with their care plan, this may be in partnership with other professionals.
Incorporated duties include:
- Ensure all medical needs are met and support the client to advocate his/her own needs and wishes.
- Facilitate clients' participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community in line with ordinary life principles.
- Support clients to access holidays and day trips of their choice.
- Interact and participate with the clients in the development of selfhelp skills, supporting clients to reach their potential for independence.
- Encourage and enable clients to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
- Once trained, administer medication in accordance with Company policies and procedures and ensure that medical emergencies are dealt with appropriately. Adhere to the medication policy at all times.
- Record information about clients and ensure effective communication with all staff members.
- Liaise with other agencies /professionals as necessary, in consultation with senior staff members.
- Provide care and support as identified in care reviews and care plans, as directed by senior staff members.
- Take responsibilities for running a shift in the absence of senior staff members as delegated to do so.
- Assist with personal shopping where required.
- Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with clients personal and financial affairs.
- Night shifts that will include general domestic duties.
- Additional duties as required

£12.00-£13.27 per hour
