An exiting opportunity has arisen to support the student nurse/midwife placement agenda that is currently high on the NHS England agenda.

The successful applicant would support the Preregistration Lead in ongoing and future provision of quality nursing student placements.


The post involves ensuring that all pre-registration nursing students receive a sound educational experience, and that those who supervise and assess them are well prepared and regularly up-dated in keeping with the NMC and related standards.

To provide support to pre-registration nursing/midwifery students and Practice Supervisors/Practice Assessors

To manage placement enquiries and complaints from clinical staff, students and HEIs relating to behaviour, conduct, competency, health and safety issues, offering advice, support and decision making referrals to others where necessary, including escalation in a timely fashion

Work closely with higher education and service areas to develop and maintain strong communication links and enhance placement management process within the Trust
