We're looking for a dynamic, organised and energised individual to join us in making a huge difference at Orphans in Need.

This will be a varied and exciting role that will give you exposure to the whole organisation and the ability to make a difference across the board.

The Executive Assistant will provide effective support to the UK Director, the Board of Trustees, and other members of the Senior Management Team.


This includes the effective management of time, priorities, visitors, correspondence, coordination of key meetings and related document management and other communications.


The post holder will undertake duties such as:

  • Organise and maintain the UK Director's diary including making appointments, liaising with other colleagues to coordinate diaries, and keeping track of outstanding tasks to be completed, ensuring time allocated reflects with the strategic priorities of the organisation.
  • Represent the UK Director and OIN by meeting and greeting external and internal visitors, taking and directing phone calls, and managing the UK Director's communications with internal and external colleagues.
  • Ensure required information is readily available to support business decisions by managing databases and filing systems, overseeing and updating distribution lists for schools, tracking attendance at meetings, and distributing and filing reports appropriately.
  • Management of key reporting processes, ensuring reports are received, approved, distributed to the appropriate staff and filed accurately.
  • Manage, attend and minute key management and Board meetings, including internal and external meetings.
  • Manage administrative systems on behalf of the executive, including HR and CRM functions.
  • Support the UK Director with the production of highquality material including presentations, documents, reports, and other internal and external communications, liaising with external agencies, if needed.

About You

  • High level administrative, executive, organisational and project management experience and expertise, ideally with education experience
  • Ability to operate independently, making high level decisions on behalf of the UK Director, Chair and others within a fast paced and complex setting
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal drive and energy to inspire and motivate colleagues and peers
  • Reliable with excellent organisational abilities
  • Flexible with a practical "can do" attitude
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately with colleagues
  • Demonstrate a commitment to their own personal and professional development

This role is offered in a hybrid capacity, although it is desirable that you have easy access to our London and/or Bradford offices.

£30,000.00 per year
