Our clients are an engineering and building services company with 35 employees based in Watford, servicing clients in London and the southeast of England.

Engineering and building services include installation & maintenance of compressed air systems, commercialgas and oil heating systems, air conditioning and chillers.

Their customers include facilities management companies and end users with a significant presence in utilities. The offices and warehouse are located on a 1930's industrial estate. Our clients are accredited to ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 by LRQA. HSE policiesand procedures are in place with H&S working to or near OHSAS 45001.

Competent advice on HSE matters is currently provided by an external agency. Our clients will seek approval to the relevant HSE standards with in-house expertise in the near future.

The combined quality, health & safety and environment systems are referred to as the quality management system (QMS).

Principal Responsibilities

The HSEQ Manager is a member of the senior management team, reports directly to the board of directors and is responsible for:

  • The appropriate development, communication and maintenance of quality systems in line with the relevant standards, clients requirements and plans.
  • Achieving a high degree of joint ownership of the QMS with the operational stakeholders in the company.
  • Perform internal compliance audits and manage external accreditations and audits.
  • Complete customer QMS questionnaires.
Key Performance Indicators

  • Promotion of ownership of the QMS within the company.
  • Production of clear, concise applicable, policies, procedures and other documents.
  • Maintenance of accreditation with customers and external bodies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • A confident individual, a team player with a minimum 2 years' experience in a QMS management role ready to take responsibility for a QMS.
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written).
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite.
