Construction Cost Estimator

Location:
UK or Germany

The Company
One of the largest Data Centre owner / operators in the world. With a strong presence across EMEA and with recent growth specifically across Western and Central Europe. The company are currently in the process of growing and building a new pre-constructionteam.

The Position (overview)

The Construction Cost Estimator requires a self-motivated, senior construction cost and commercial person with a strong market understanding and technical background to support the delivery of new build, client fit out and other data centre related constructionworks.

The role will require cost estimating support through the various delivery stages of the project.

The estimator will need to be able to work independently with strong communication skills for the interaction with other functions from various disciplines withinthe business.


  • Production of accurate and comprehensive cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Control and management of the estimating process throughout all stages of the project
  • Independently produce and maintenance of ongoing calculations and cost estimates
  • Support and maintain Benchmark data for supporting early strategic planning
  • Keep track and analysis of commercial market trends
  • Collaborate and drive Cost Savings initiatives including Value Engineering
  • Support and deepdive on specific projects/areas when required
  • Support in the review and development of processes and standardisation to support drive towards overall best practice

Could this be for you?

  • Suitable qualifications and relevant professional experience
  • With several years of construction industry experience (Data Centre Delivery preferred), alternatively business critical projects, industrial, chemical and/or manufacturing background
  • Strong Commercial awareness
  • Strong MEP background
  • Language Skills: English (and German)
  • Excellent collaboration and people management skills
