Rhubarb Recruitment searching for a part-time Kitchen Supervisor for a small, independent primary school, founded in 1935 and situated just off the main Bristol to Weston-Super-Mare A370 road at Backwell.

The school has approximately 120 pupils aged 2-11in single-year group classes.

The vacancy is for a part-time Kitchen Supervisor to join an efficient, professional, and cheerful staff team.

What we need

The Kitchen Supervisor will work with a Kitchen Assistant to ensure that food is ready on time, that lunchtimes run smoothly, and food is served from a clean and tidy kitchen.

The role will include helping where required washing up and preparing food toserve to pupils, some of whom have medical and/or dietary needs e.g., food intolerances.

There will be opportunities for occasional overtime, pension, free parking, meals on duty, and staff discounts on school fees. The position offers a great work-life balance.

The School has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment as well as undertake required DBS checks at point of job offer.

Hours

Working hours for Part-time Kitchen Supervisor:
Term-time only (34 weeks per year)
Mondays to Fridays 9.30 am pm.
22.5 hours per week.

Salary
£11- £12.50 per hour depending on experience

Contract:
Permanent, part-time, with six months probationary period.

Additional information:

Pupils of staff at the school are entitled to a reduction in fees if all other usual entry requirements are fulfilled.

All staff have the opportunity (and indeed are strongly encouraged) to continue with their professional development at the school.

Lunch, and tea and coffee is provided free of charge when working.
