Remote but with travel across the South Central region (Oxford, Reading, Swindon)


Package:
£30,000 - £35,000 salary, £4,200 car allowance, plus 10% bonus

Why would you want to be a Sales Coach, or trainer?

Why indeed, because it is going to be very different to your current day job. It's also not going to be the first thought you've just had of 'Do I have to stand up a teach to a group of 20 people?'


You are going to have had a successful career within Sales/Sales Development - ideally some form of Technical/Solution based Sales career.

This could be high street or call centre B2C, or it could be B2B product/service sales.
But you are going to be at a turning point in your career - the What's next stage?


As a Sales Skills Coach, in short, you going to use all of your experience and knowledge, and use this to mentor, coach, and train the next generation of Sales Professionals.


  • By next Generation, I don't just mean the younger generation, you will still be working with mature adults as well who are either switching careers, or upskilling their own knowledge.
Enter the world of Apprenticeships and Work Based Learning.

In short, Apprenticeships are no longer a lower route of education for Trade specific markets.

They are widely used to educate people at all levels and age groups, and have an immensely positive impact on not just the 'learner' completing the course, but the employers long term hiring and people strategies.


I'll give you more information when we speak, but to give an insight, you will be working with what is known as a Blended Learning Approach.

This means you will work with an individual or small group of learners either face to face, or remotely (video platforms/eLearning materials etc) and you will be their key figure taking them from start to finish of their qualification in line with the necessary curriculum.


You will be delivering coaching & training on a level 3 Sales Executive programme, and a level 4 IT technical Sales programme - the Technical knowledge needed for this is mínimal, but it would help if you have sold a technical product in the past - We have supported people in to these roles who have had careers within employers like EE, and Vodafone.


The employer, a Training Provider who's core specialism has always been Sales focused. Although they are still relatively 'new' to the world of Apprenticeships, they have been a long standing business in Sales & Recruitment training.


Recently they were acquired by a well known HR & Recruitment services giant, and what this means for you are some fantastic corporate benefits not often seen in the Further Education market - we have full documents on this, so please ask.


So what do you need?


As mentioned at the top, we do need you to have a background in Sales - Business Development - Client Engagement etc.

However, this can be quite vast.

B2B and B2C experience will be considered, and you could be customer facing, call centre based, or from a field sales background.

What's important is you understand different ways of selling, and sales processes/life cycles. You will also have a passion for developing people and enhancing their careers. You may have already done this in a team leader or managerial role, which is great but not essential.

If you've got training experience that's great, but this employer have a strong track record of hiring Sales pro's with little to no training experience, and developing them in to great educators.

You'll be given a wealth of training yourselves, and the employer will fund your training qualifications for you.
