Job Summary

Elanco is investing in its data and information landscape to become more data-driven than ever before, and the Data Engineering and Platforms organization plays a key part of this transformation.

As a result of our separation from our former parent company, Eli Lilly, Elanco has created a data environment that leverages modern technologies, platforms, and concepts to support all functions of the business.

Reporting to the Director - Data Platforms, the Data Platforms Product Owner is a key thought leader and accountable for the capabilities, products, and services within our Integration and Consumption technology portfolio.

This role drives the continuous evolution of platform capabilities, enabling sustainable scaling and value realisation. A strong passion for data and technology is critical to success and making a positive impact.

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

Accountable for delivering and enhancing products/services in the Integration and Consumption portfolio, including Boomi, Azure API Management, and Power BI.
Develop and share roadmaps, engage in business planning, and prioritize the portfolio backlog.
Promote portfolio capabilities through engagement activities, demos, and showcases.
Act as the primary technical contact and maintain vendor relationships for optimal solutions.
Assess and implement solutions enhancing adoption, performance, cost optimization, and scalability.
Collaborate for operational processes, analyze portfolio costs, and engage in community sharing.
Stay updated on technology trends related to the portfolio, guiding the team on leveraging opportunities.
Act as an escalation point for significant issues impacting portfolio services and platforms.
Ensure compliance with IT Quality Processes for portfolio products and services.

Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

Holds a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Extensive leadership in technology, managing global environments and delivering enterprise solutions.
Proficiency in public cloud services like Azure and Google, and data tools within the portfolio.
Familiarity with peripheral technologies, notably Databricks, and adaptability to new tech.
Success in executing transformative plans, prioritizing in global settings, and showcasing emotional intelligence and stakeholder management.
Ability to translate technical topics for nontechnical stakeholders and drive consensus among diverse groups.
Strong accountability, decisionmaking in ambiguous situations, and organizational skills.

Additional Preferences:

Industry experience in Animal Health/Life Sciences and familiarity with regulated, ITILdriven environments.
