Description
The Renewal Specialist has a crucial role in ensuring seamless renewals for Productboard customers and identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is keen to learn and can collaborate effectively with different teams to meet renewal objectives.
As a Renewal Specialist, you will closely work with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to streamline the renewal process and bolster customer relationships.
You will also have the chance to offer valuable insights to enhance our renewal strategies.
To succeed in this role, you should have a basic grasp of sales processes, strong communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
The Renewal Specialist will engage in renewing customer contracts, spotting upsell opportunities, and maintaining precise renewal records.

**On a typical week, you will**
- Assist in managing the renewal book to ensure customer retention and revenue growth
- Support Customer Success Managers and Account Executives in engaging with customers for successful renewals
- Assist in creating communication templates and sequences to engage customers and identify risks and opportunities
- Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to gather data and insights for renewal discussions
- Help identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and coordinate with Account Executives for follow-up
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of renewal processes and systems
- Assist in maintaining accurate renewal forecasts and updating renewal records
- Collaborate with Finance, Support, and Legal teams as needed for renewal logistics
- Demonstrate a proactive and customer-centric approach in all interactions
- Manage administrative tasks related to the renewal lifecycle including providing rapid, focused responses to customers and GTM colleagues through Zendesk and Intercom
About you:
- 1 year experience in SaaS renewals, sales, or customer service preferred
- Enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer experiences in the tech industry
- Basic understanding of sales processes and negotiation techniques
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Salesforce experience is a plus
- Comfortable using various communication channels to engage with customers
- Organized with good time management skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to address customer situations effectively
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
