An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and highly motivated Communications Officer to join the Centre for Research Equity (CfRE) at the University of Oxford's prestigious Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.


About the Centre for Research Equity:

The CfRE is a new, non-profit coalition of community advocates, pharmacy teams, researchers, pharma and health industry professionals, academics, and regulators.

Our mission is to advance the understanding of and improve inclusive research practice and community engagement in health and care research.


The work we do revolves around providing support and training for research staff to increase health equity, evidencing the benefits for community-based recruitment and clinical trial / research design, and promoting inclusive community engagement, involvement, and participation in research.

Our guiding principles are equity, inclusion, relevance, and rigor.


About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Communications Officer is to support and amplify the work of the CfRE.

You will be involved in strategic communications planning, content development, event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and much more, ensuring our mission and work reach a diverse audience.


You will also be part of the wider Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences Communications team, supporting the department and other centres within it.


Who We're Looking For:

Experience in higher education, industry, research, or healthcare environment would be a plus, as would be knowledge or interest in health and care research and community engagement.

This is a part-time position (3 days per week), funded for two years.
