Dumfries and Galloway Mental Health Association (DGMHA) is a registered charity with a long history of providing care and support to people with mental health issues across our region.

We are currently going through a period of transformational change and growth.


This role is responsible for the financial processes and contributes to the statutory reporting for DGMHA, ensuring Payroll and Invoicing for The Association are completed each month.

Reporting to the Business and Finance Manager, you will be a key player within the Head Office Team and will contribute significantly to driving forward the changes required by our business.


Key areas of responsibility will include financial reporting, payroll, invoicing, reconciliation, liaising with teams and Local Authority, and taking part in year-end accounts and audits, as well as liaising with regulatory bodies such as Companies House, SORP and OSCR.

You will have the appropriate accounting knowledge, skills and expertise to develop / implement the required financial checks, controls, policies and procedures to deliver effective operational activities including payroll, procurement, invoicing and credit control.

To meet the challenges of this role, applicants will have meticulous eye for detail and exceptional communication skills. You will be required to build excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


You will be highly numerate and organised in your approach to work, coupled with an adept ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.

You will be required to be educated at least higher level with a financial qualification in Finance or Accountancy.
