Due to company growth, we have a fantastic new vacancy for an Employability and Functional Skills tutor to join our team (we have an opportunity for both full-time, part-time and contract positions).

In the role you will:

  • Deliver Employability & Functional Skills in person (with some online), both in groups and one to one sessions.
  • Plan and deliver knowledgeable and exciting lessons from our fantastic central Liverpool training centre to keep learners motivated and on track
  • Track the progress learners make from their starting point and in every lesson
  • Mark and provide timely feedback to learners
  • Support learners to achieve and realise their aspirational goals
  • Be responsible for completing and maintaining appropriate internal and external quality standards


You must have a proven credible track record of working in a Employability and/or Functional Skills teaching setting for a minimum period of 2 years and experience of delivering outstanding lessons and achieving excellent outcomes for learners.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Tutor (any of the following: PTLLS / EAT / CERT ED / PGCE)
  • Relevant qualification in English / Maths or both
  • Level 2 or above
  • Highly creative and innovative.
  • Able to differentiate delivery style depending on the specific audience.
  • Adaptable and open minded.
  • Able to thrive in a fastchanging environment.
  • Highly memorable and impactful.
  • Able to support and develop individuals to reach their full potential

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week


Salary:
£26,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
