Job Purpose:


To provide a professional and efficient first point of contact for customers, ensuring they receive a first-class service while optimising sales opportunities.

Support the commercial activities of the team, ensuring all information and processes are effective and accurate.

Maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision-making to handle issues in the best interest of both customer and company.

Work closely with other departments to achieve sales and production targets, adhering to MHRA guidelines and GMP compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Proactively build, maintain, and service the existing customer base, looking for prospecting opportunities to target new accounts and lines.
  • Perform periodic account reviews to identify lost lines and service issues.
  • Identify where quotes have been processed but not confirmed at the order point.
  • Identify target markets and initiate contact, identifying key areas within the hospital and private sectors.
  • Create and prepare incoming customer quotes, ensuring all information is processed accurately and communicated back to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Process all incoming orders received, responding quickly and efficiently, upselling wherever possible and ensuring all information is accurately recorded on the order documentation.
  • Enter all orders onto the system accurately, ensuring all customer details and requirements are followed.
  • Book, process, and release all rolling orders as per each customer's requirement. Provide customer assistance for any rolling orders that are due to be renewed.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Services and the buyers at Head Office to ensure all stock requirements are fulfilled.
  • Action all customer approval documentation and send it over to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all relevant spreadsheets and logs are referred to and kept updated accordingly on a daily basis.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer queries and complaints to maximise satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Sales BDM's to motivate and drive the performance of the sales team to meet daily and monthly targets.
  • Maintain full communication with teammates within your own department, liaising proactively with other departments within Q22 and the rest of the Mawdsleys Group.
  • Supply Management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • All the above responsibilities must be carried out as outlined within the current versions of the standard Operating procedures (SOPs).
  • All activities for the purpose of product overlabelling are carried out in accordance with the current MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) guidelines.
  • Operating under full GMP/GDP Compliance. (Good Manufacturing Practice/ Good Distribution Practice)

  • Understand and comply with established guidelines that ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure workload is prioritised to a manageable level while maintaining a tidy work environment.
  • Follow all discipline outlined in the company handbook.
  • Take care when using company equipment.
  • The above is not an exhaustive list of tasks, and flexibility will be required to provide cover for holidays and sickness in and outside of your areas. At all times, you will be expected to act in the best interest of the company when confronted with tasks you may not be familiar with.

Skills:


  • Basic computer skills, with experience of Word and Excel
