Communications Manager - Start Up Loans Programme

Fixed Term Contract for 13 Months


Hours:
Full time 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri)/ willing to consider flexible days and/or hours


Salary:
Between £41,500 - £49,000 depending upon experience

THE ROLE


As the Communications Manager - Start Up Loans reporting to the Senior Corporate Communications Manager, you will be part of the Market Engagement and Transformation - Communications team which manages the external communications programme for British BusinessBank.


Responsible for raising awareness of Start Up Loans, this role will support the Senior Corporate Communications Manager in building awareness and take-up of the programme.


To be considered for this role you must have previous public relations and media relations experience along with strong writing skills and an ability to manage campaigns and other communications projects.


You will be organised and efficient, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, and have experience of working on high profile media relations programmes.

A background in finance and business communications would be highly desirable.

The Start Up Loans programme provides personal loans for business purposes of up to £25,000 at a 6% fixed interest rate per annum and offers free dedicated mentoring and support to each business.


The primary aim of the Start Up Loans programme is to ensure that viable start-ups and early-stage businesses have access to the finance and support they need in order to thrive.

To deliver its programmes, the Bank works through more than 200 delivery partners such as high street, digital, specialist and challenger banks, venture capital and private debt funds, and fintech platforms.
