Finance and Accounting Manager - FTC


Our client, a global leader in the Music industry is looking for a Finance and Accounting Manager to join their London team on a maternity cover FTC.

You will be responsible for managing a team of two Finance Coordinators, ensuring that all financial recordsare complete and accurate.

Duties will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects.

Works under generalsupervision from Financial Controller, UK.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and producing the monthly management accounts.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L review for a number of subsidiaries with any variances analyzed and discussed with Financial Controller, UK.
  • Drive the monthend close process to ensure deadlines are met and high standards maintained. Reviewing postings, reconciliations and schedules prepared by direct reports.
  • Managing, motivating and developing a team of 2 Finance & Accounting Coordinators. Ensuring there is effective staff training and regular evaluation of staff performance.
  • Assessing business processes and driving efficiencies and innovation.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of accounting practices.
  • Responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting for department.
  • Dealing with working capital management and production of monthly cashflow report.
  • Work closely with external audit firm on finalizing statutory accounts.
  • Provide technical support to other members of the finance team.
Key Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to delegate and manage a team of accounting professionals
  • To work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities (desired, but not essential)
  • NetSuite experience (preferred, but not essential)
