Finance and Accounting Manager - FTC

Our client, a global leader in the Music industry is looking for a Finance and Accounting Manager to join their London team on a maternity cover FTC.

You will be responsible for managing a team of two Finance Coordinators, ensuring that all financial recordsare complete and accurate.

Duties will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects.

Works under generalsupervision from Financial Controller, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and producing the monthly management accounts.
Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L review for a number of subsidiaries with any variances analyzed and discussed with Financial Controller, UK.
Drive the monthend close process to ensure deadlines are met and high standards maintained. Reviewing postings, reconciliations and schedules prepared by direct reports.
Managing, motivating and developing a team of 2 Finance & Accounting Coordinators. Ensuring there is effective staff training and regular evaluation of staff performance.
Assessing business processes and driving efficiencies and innovation.
Drive the continuous improvement of accounting practices.
Responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting for department.
Dealing with working capital management and production of monthly cashflow report.
Work closely with external audit firm on finalizing statutory accounts.
Provide technical support to other members of the finance team.

Key Experience

A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good time management and the ability to prioritize
Ability to delegate and manage a team of accounting professionals
To work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities (desired, but not essential)
NetSuite experience (preferred, but not essential)
