*Main duties*- Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift- Take responsibility for the safety of medicines in the home in line with the Medication policy
- Mentor and support new staff
- Take responsibility for staff supervisions and appraisals when required
- Oversee the quality of care
- Assist with quality assurance by helping with internal audits
- Deal with visitors in a professional manner
- Liaise with the management team on all aspects of the running of the home *Person Specification
- Able to work to prescribed standards
- Able to take and give direction
- Able to take a pride in your work
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to comply with policies and procedures
- Willingness to undertake mandatory training in line with regulatory requirements; and identify and attend other training as required to meet the home's regulatory standards and to enable you to carry out your work as safely as possible
- Flexibility to undertake shift work to meet needs of the home
- QCF3 or equivalent in Social Care; or willing to work towards
- Understanding and respect for the people in your care
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
£10.40 per hour

- providing care: 4 years (preferred)
- supervisory: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
