Penguin Recruitment are excited to be assisting one of our highly regarded clients, a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, who are looking to appoint a Junior Geotechnical Consultant in their Glasgow office.

The successful applicant will join an expanding, specialist team and will work on a wide range of projects across the UK.

This opportunity will help you enhance your knowledge of the geo sector, provide you with a broad range of skills and expertise andwill provide the perfect opportunity for career growth.

Applicants are required to have a strong academic background which includes a BSc, BEng or higher qualification in relevant field (geology, environmental science, engineering geology, civil engineering etc) and a full UK clean driving license.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Supervising ground investigations and managing sub-contractors
Carrying out Phase I Desk Studies and Walkover Surveys
Carrying out Phase II+ intrusive investigations, including risk assessment and interpretative report writing
Data review and analysis
Produce HSSE plans and method statements
Ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standard and in line with health, safety and environmental standards
