Are you passionate about education and making a positive impact on young learners? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant (KS1) to join our dynamic team in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth and development of children in Key Stage 1, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the class teacher to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for Key Stage 1 students.
- Support the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities, ensuring they are engaging and aligned with the curriculum.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of students' progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents/carers.
- Offer individual and small group support to students who require additional assistance, promoting their learning and development.
- Foster a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere, encouraging students' selfconfidence, independence, and positive behavior.
- Contribute to the planning and organization of school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of students' achievements, behavior, and attendance.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting young learners and fostering their holistic development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- An understanding of Key Stage 1 curriculum and teaching methods.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with primary schoolaged children, either in an educational or childcare setting.
- A genuine passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learners.
- Basic knowledge of primary school curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
