ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Milton Keynes
up to 25K (dependent on skills and experience)

ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

An opportunity has arisen within our Head office for a Accounts Payable Clerk.

Working in the Accounts Payable team means being part of a small, centralised team processing all invoices and credit notes to the respective ledger's accounts for the UK Business,holding companies and European subsidiaries.


  • Processing and checking invoices/credit notes daily
  • Query investigation and resolution
  • Chasing for missing invoices and credit notes
  • Finance administration and inbox maintenance
  • Liaising with stakeholders across multiple sites.
  • Scanning Post
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Downloading invoices from portals (e.g., fuel, utilities etc. mobile phones etc)
  • Sending remittances
  • Posting invoices in Esker
  • Raise weekly & monthly payment runs
  • Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with core competencies and learning and development framework.
  • Observe Health & Safety policy and procedures
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

  • It would be preferable to have 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • An understanding of bookkeeping and a desire to learn more.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Being well organised and dependable will be important factors in being successful in this role.
  • A thorough disciplined and detailed style is vital with the ability to analyse logical and detailed data.
  • Education up to degree level in Accounting / Business Studies / Economics could be beneficial.
