About Us and the Role
Warwickshire County Council are looking to recruit several enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Officers to join our friendly teams.

We currently have opportunities in the following teams:

  • Team 1 SENDAR (Special Educational Needs Disability Assessment and Review)
  • Team 2 SEN (Special Educational Needs) & Inclusion this team covers several services which include Warwickshire Attendance Service, Specialist Teaching Service and Integrated Disability Service.
Whilst the roles are being advertised as full time, we would consider requests for part time working.


The posts will be based either at Kings House, Bedworth, Oakfield Park in Rugby or Shire Hall in Warwick including hybrid working from home after a satisfactory induction period.


SENDAR (Special Educational Needs Disability Assessment and Review) is the Local Authority service that manages, monitors and reviews the Statutory Special Educational Needs processes for Warwickshire in accordance with the SEN (Special Educational Needs) Code of Practice.

SEND and Inclusion work across five services, all services have staff that go into Nurseries and schools in Warwickshire to support children with educational needs.


The teams in Education Services are strong, dynamic, and supportive, dedicated to putting the child/young person and their family at the heart of the activity.

We deliver high quality, professional business support to services across Education Services.


We are looking for someone who can work in a busy office where deadlines are crucial, you need to have excellent organisation and time management skills along with the experience of using a variety of windows-based computer systems e.g., word, excel and management information databases.

Finance experience including data and invoice processing, also monitoring of payments would be desirable.


Good attention to detail and producing work to a high standard is required as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.

The service areas that we support work with key teams within the Local Authority as well as educational settings (head teachers/special needs coordinators), professionals, other Local Authorities, and external agencies.

As a Business Support Officer, you will be able to provide frontline support, giving advice and guidance. You will provide casework and/or administrative support with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

You should be a good communicator who is self-motivated, and solution focused with the ability to liaise and communicate in person/and or in writing a variety of information, including dealing with anxious/apprehensive customers in a sensitive manner.
