About the Role


We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse (Adult) registered with the NMC who has additional qualifications in Tissue Viability, to provide specific support to the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES).


As part of the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) you will work closely with the ICES Equipment Lead Specialist, Retrieval Analyst and Cornwall Equipment Loan Service (CELS).

You will require an understanding of the range of community equipment that can be provided by the service.


The Role:


  • You will be required to provide support in areas of quality assurance and cost management. This will include an expert and indepth knowledge and ability to critically analyse equipment prescribing, provision and develop approaches to new and emerging developments, based upon national and local policy drivers and legislation.
  • You will be working closely with a wide variety of key partners, NHS, Adult Social Care, Hospice, Care Providers and Voluntary Organisations.
  • You will require a good understanding of effective assessment, provide clinical expertise and support staff with complex clinical assessments.
  • You will be required to work with the ICES Equipment Lead and Commissioning Team to develop the service and support training programmes as required.
  • You may be required to carry out audits and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure that residents, families and communities have the right support/equipment in place at the right time.
  • You may be required to leading on specific projects and chair working groups when required.
  • You will deputise for the ICES Equipment Lead Specialist when required.
  • You will need to have good communication skills, work well under pressure, be proactive and innovative.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations).
