As a Maintenance Person for Prestige care group you will be part of the care homes team and as such work with other staff to ensure the safety of all the Service Users, visitors and employees.

The work can be both physically and mentally demanding. The job includes Health and Safety checks of the building, environment and equipment, general handy man duties. The maintenance person should have an understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.


Requirements:


  • Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, priorities tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Genuine interest in working in a care environment.
  • Health and Safety checks of the buildings, environment and equipment.
  • And need to be able to work well on their own and manage their time effectively.
  • Clean Driving License.
  • Required to work in a Homely, Lively and Exciting environment.
  • You'll carry out audits and make sure records are kept uptodate. And, whether you're replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing the timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper, gardening etc.
  • You'll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems

COVID-19 considerations:


You can only be considered for this position if you have received the COVID-19 vaccination as all colleagues working in care homes should be double vaccinated by 11th November 2021.

You will need to follow regular testing such as LFT and PCR testing.
